Local Outreach

Fellowship Dallas pursues community transformation both locally and globally. We reach out and serve both for our sake and for the sake of those we serve. We believe that serving others is an essential part of being a follower of Jesus Christ. Jesus said to his followers, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave–just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:26-28).

Our Calling

Our Calling is a Christian organization that helps people walk with Jesus and get off the streets for good.  Everything they do is rooted in the principles of care with dignity, connection with intentionality, and community with integrity.  They work through skilled staff, volunteers, partner agencies, and many supporters like Fellowship Dallas.  In 2023 they helped people exit homelessness 1359 times and had over 20,000 one-on-one ministry conversations in addition to providing meals, showers, laundry, clothing, and hygiene items to meet physical needs.

Rather than giving money, give our homeless neighbors a lifeline to permanent transformation.  Give a copy of the Our Calling pocket directory of services, perhaps accompanied by a bottle of water and soft granola bars.

Our Calling directories are available at Fellowship Dallas.  Contact beckyw@fellowshipdallas.org to request them or to receive information on how to volunteer with Our Calling.

Making an Impact in Dallas

OUr City Partners
FBCD partners with other faith-based organizations who serve the needs of people in Dallas.  This helps us be more intentional and strategic about pursuing volunteer opportunities that would see the Gospel spread through the DFW metroplex.  By focusing on these we are able to have a greater impact on the missions of our partners with the resources we have available.

School Partnerships

Support our school partnerships with Jill Stone Elementary and Conrad High School by providing tutoring for students, serving at Teacher Appreciation Events, or helping a needy student with school supplies.

Local Refugee Ministry

Serve refugee families in our neighborhood by providing items for Welcome Baskets, volunteering with kids at our Melting Pot Community Center, or connecting to a refugee family as they transition to our culture.
