I was born in Waco, Texas, where I spent the first 18 years of my life. I made the decision to stay even longer and attend Baylor University where I met my wife, Elaine. Shortly after we graduated and got married, we did a brief stint in Nashville with a CCM vocal group I was traveling with. We felt God calling us back to Texas, specifically for me to attend Dallas Theological Seminary and figure out who, what, and where God was calling us to.
After years of leading worship, songwriting, vocal coaching, and piano teaching; God finally led me here to Fellowship.
It’s exciting for me to do what I love for a living. As a young boy, I remember harmonizing to everything in the house; the hair dryer, the vacuum cleaner…if it made a noise, I sang along. I grew up in a church that gave me a lot of opportunities to explore music and to use my gifts in the form of worship. Not long after accepting Christ, at the age of 8, people began to tell me that I’d, “make a great worship leader one day”. However, from an early age, I’d always say that I would never be a worship pastor. So, here’s your fair warning: Never Say Never.
It’s truly amazing how God molds us and leads us into HIS purpose for our lives.
I have 3 children (Cana, Roman, and Levi) that keep me on my toes and constantly laughing.
