I have been acutely driven by purpose ever since I was a young child. Growing up I knew I had a Creator, but I was unsure on how I related to Him. Therefore, my purpose in life was to excel in sports and to excel in having as many love interests as possible. These were daunting tasks for a kid.
When I was ten, I had a good friend invite me to a church service one day and I discovered that the Creator I knew from afar had related to me by visiting His creation through the person of Jesus. As I grew to understand God’s unfolding plan (and still continue to grow in understanding) to redeem the world back to Himself, He changed my purpose from hitting baseballs, to ministering to those who only knew God from afar.
I have gained so much insight into my new life through one of my favorite passages, 2 Corinthians 5:14-21.
Furthermore, since I was a senior in high school I knew that the Lord was calling me into ministry in the local church. I have served as a youth pastor and as a lay counselor at Hope for the Heart before landing here at Fellowship Dallas. I have the incredible opportunity of caring for the people in the ever-diversifying community around our church. My heart is to see the broken and hopeless mended back and restored through a holistic approach to the Gospel.
Other than that, I am married to a wonderful young lady named, Chelsea who I met in grad school at Dallas Baptist University. I also try not to take myself too seriously and would love to meet you!
