Day 28
Saturday, March 25
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one
Pray against divisive hearts, words, and actions in your life and in our church.
Our preferences, our longing for the past, and our belief that our way is best can lead to second guessing other’s intentions and spreading divisive words or gossip. Now more than ever we need to cry out to the Lord to lead us away from division and toward unity. This will take humility and require us to set aside our own needs and desires. Pray that God would reveal the motives of your heart. Then confess any desires that are not aligned with God’s will for how you should treat others and pray for unity within the body of Christ.
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
