Do you know Jesus Christ? Many have heard of Him and believe He was a good teacher, sing about his birth at Christmas and celebrate His resurrection at Easter, but do you know that He wants to have a personal relationship with you? Being a part of the family of God is not something we earn, but a gift that we accept. It is a gift given because He loves us even in our brokenness. It brings us hope as we face life today and for the future. We know that “salvation” carries different meanings depending on your family background or religious tradition, but we believe the Bible is clear on these core truths:
God is the Creator of the world, exists in three persons, and is wholly good.
We believe in one God who exists as three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God is the creator and sustainer of the universe and rules supremely over it.
Every man and woman falls short of God’s standards.
We believe that the first man and woman were created in God’s image and thus all humans have great value in God’s sight. But when the first couple sinned, they brought both physical and spiritual death to the human race. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature, commit acts of sin in their lives, and must be reconciled to God through the death of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is who He said He was—the Son of God and Savior of the world.
We believe that God the Son took on human form in the person of Jesus Christ and that as the Son of God, He was fully God and fully man. He died for our sins, physically rose from the dead, and He brings salvation and forgiveness to all who truly believe in Him.
Salvation is a gift from God, and it doesn’t have to be confusing.
Jesus saves you when you repent and trust in Jesus’ forgiveness for your sins. Your salvation is God’s gift to you. It is not earned by anything you do. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Eph. 2:8-9).
If you are ready to believe and receive God’s gift of salvation, simply talk to God and commit your life Him:
“Jesus, I admit that I’ve fallen short. I’ve sinned and need your forgiveness. I believe that You lived, died, and rose again so that I could be connected to God. I believe that you are Lord and I commit my life to You. I give you my past, present, and future. Take my life and use it. I give it to You. Amen.”
If you prayed to meet Jesus, please let us know! We would love to hear your story and help you take your next step.
